The automatic rising waterbarrier called ‘eXtra’ was voted the best innovation on 4 February 2010 in the area of watermanagement.





Office building 'Westraven' wins Dutch building award
In February 2009 the head office ‘Westraven’ of the Dutch Department of Public works (Rijkswaterstaat) won the Dutch Building Award in the category Buildings.




International award for Nescio Bridge
One of Grontmij's designs,  the Nescio Bridge, was presented with the Arthur G. Hayden Award during the International Bridge Conference in Pittsburgh (USA) in 2007. Following earlier awards, the bridge over the Amsterdam Rhine Canal won again a prize, and this time an international one!



Grontmij wins award for 'Sustainable care'
Grontmij’s Jelle Roorda was beaming with delight when he received two awards at the Vernufteling award ceremony: the Professional Award and the Public Award. The winner was announced on Wednesday 11 June 2008 at the National Car Museum in Raamdonksveer.



Environmental award for Pharmafilter and Grontmij
Pharmafilter and Grontmij jointly won one of the three awards of the annual EEP Award Netherlands. Minister Cramer of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment, announced the winners on 3 April 2008 at the professional Industry & Environment fair. The three winners of the Dutch preliminaries will move on to the European competition.
