'So many reasons' - Catrine Söderström

'There are many reasons why I enjoy working at Grontmij' says Catrine. 'One of the main reasons are the interesting projects I have the opportunity to work with and the opportunities they mean for my personal and professional development'.

Catrine Söderström has been employed at Grontmij since 2004. She came to Grontmij because she saw an opportunity to widen her skills regarding restauration of older constructions as she previously mainly had worked with new constructions.

Since starting at Grontmij Catrine has mainly worked within Stockholm City Line, one of Grontmij Sweden's biggest projects. The City Line is a double-track railway with two new stations that is to be built in an approximately six kilometer long tunnel between two commuter stations. Catrine has had several different roles within the project, the last couple of years as project manager.

'Working at Grontmij has given me the opportunity to grow within my profession and I have had opportunities to take on more responsibility than I had expected! Working at Grontmij also means that I can influence, that my opinion is heard. There is a positive working climate and an organisation and management open for input and ideas. At Grontmij we are good at giving each other positive feed-back and there is an openness and respect for all employees. Last, but not least, we are very good at working together and cooperating between our various technical areas.'
