'I graduated in July 2008 at the Catholic University of Leuven as a civil engineer with a specialisation in buildingtechniques. In August 2008 I joined Grontmij in the buildings department and started working as a consultant designer HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) and sustainability. My first encounter with Grontmij was during a job fair. I had an extensive interview with someone from the HR department and a project manager of Grontmij. Their experiences and enthusiasm were so infectious that I didn't apply anywhere else. Within one week I was invited for an interview and barely two weeks later, I had my contract in the pocket!
 
Many activities are organised within Grontmij that promote the atmosphere within the company, such as: a new year party, staff party, team building or a quiz, or even an international Grontmij sports day!
 
At Grontmij we work hard, but at the same time the challenges are really interesting and you learn a lot in a short period of time which allows you to grow rapidly.
