Every employee with a permanent employment contract is entitled to Private Medical Insurance (PMI) at top-range private medical company- Medicover. The cost of PMI is fully covered by Grontmij in Poland. The PMI means that all our employees can quickly get comprehensive private medical care and thus avoid long waiting lists with national healthcare. PMI for Grontmij in Poland includes GP care and access to all specialists as well as basic dental care (free annual check-ups). There is also an option to include family members in the PMI, but then the cost is covered by the employee.
Work and private life
According to Polish Labour Law every employee is entitled to 20 or 26 days’ annual leave, depending on the length of his/her professional experience. Pregnant women/mothers are by law entitled to 18-28 weeks’ paid maternity leave.
Afterwards mothers (or fathers) can request an unpaid care leave that can last up to 3 years (it can be shared or divided). Every year one of parents of a child under 14 years old (mother or father) has additionally two days off a year –“care” for a child.
Training and personal development
Grontmij in Poland supports development of its employees – the company can partially or fully subsidize postgraduate studies or professional trainings. When necessary, the company sponsors English courses for those employees, who need it in their day-to-day work.
We organize also specialized series of external trainings for our top managers.
Other benefits
Grontmij in Poland sponsors sport activities for its employees: badminton and volleyball trainings for those interested. Representation of GP took in previous years part in intercompany tournament in volleyball and also in football intercompany tournament.
Every year a big representation of Grontmij in Poland takes part in Sports Day competition, which - beside of obtaining the prices - gives us the possibility to meet our colleagues from the rest of Grontmij Group and to integrate with them.
Every employee can also join group insurance in Commercial Union. The insurance covers hospital treatment or in case of accidents (death, inability to work, death of a spouse, child etc.) compensation is paid out. Grontmij in Poland covers part of the monthly insurance fee in CU (65%), the rest is paid by the employee.
Grontmij in Poland has created (as required by Polish Labour Law) the special Employee Social Fund. Its means are spent on different employee activities: twice a year some amount of money is paid out: in the holiday season all entitled employees get a subsidy for summer holidays, and in December Christmas vouchers.
