First weak link in range of dunes at full strength - the Netherlands
The dikes and dunes on the Dutch North Sea coast are under pressure from the rising sea level. The country’s main line of defence against the rising water – the dunes – has to be reinforced in the very short term. Grontmij’s expertise was called in for one of those projects.

Pearl® - recovery phosphorus from waste water
Grontmij offers the new and unique Pearl® phosphorus recovery technology. The Pearl® technology effectively recovers phosphorus and nitrogen from waste water as a premium fertilizer product for agriculture and horticulture. Phosphorus recovery from waste water is a fast rising issue gaining more and more attention in society.


 
SHARON, nitrogen removal over nitrite: robust and reliable
As one of the possible answers to the issue of clean drinking water Grontmij developed the technology SHARON. In this part of the website you can find a further explanation of this concept and examples of realised waste water treatment plants as well as documentation of SHARON in (technical) journals.


DEMON, sustainable nitrogen removal   
The DEamMONification process for nitrogen removal is an energy-saving technology for ammonia removal from high strength wastewater. Significant savings are the result.
