Obtaining the certificate level of ‘very good’ for 'Post-Construction Stage' is a major achievement for both the developer and for the certification team. The office building has a usable area of 27.548 sqm and an underground car park for more than 800 cars. A lot of attention was paid to the health and well-being of the end-users (adequate day-lighting and good views, good public transport, facilities such as a post office, restaurant, ATM’s). Other solutions that have an impact on the outcome of the certificate include energy-efficient lifts, the materials used, expert analysis on LCC (Life Cycle Cost) and LZC (Low Zero Carbon) issues.
About BREEAM
* BREEAM is a holistic building assessment method, which takes into account many factors, amongst other energy efficiency, sustainable management, reduction of emissions, use of sustainable materials, environmental impacts, public transport, good working environment. The certificate is given on the levels pass, good, very good, excellent, and outstanding. More and more developers are interested in obtaining a 'green certificate', which promises much for the development of BREEAM in Poland.
