Grontmij and the Delft University of Technology intensify cooperation
Grontmij Nederland and the faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at the Delft University of Technology have agreed to intensify their knowledge interchange and collaboration, in particular in the fields of water technology, transport, urbanism and asset management.
The partnership will last for three years with an option for a further two years, and will focus on the subjects ‘Flood management’ (Delta technology), ‘Intelligent Traffic Systems’ and ‘Urban Transport’ (Transport), ‘Asset management’ (life cycle costs) and ‘Decentralised sanitation’ (Urban water).
In relation to each of these subject areas, joint (international) studies and projects will be implemented, enabling both parties to develop new knowledge. In addition, Grontmij will be offering graduation placements and PhD research placements on a structural basis, as well as making a contribution to education in the form of a visiting lectureship and/or part-time professorship.
