Grontmij consolidates its position in the eastern Netherlands thanks to the takeover of Stoel Partners
Grontmij has concluded an agreement with shareholders of the Zwolle-based building consultancy company Stoel Partners Holding B.V., on the complete takeover of all of the company’s shares with effect from 1 January 2008.
Stoel Partners has a workforce of about 30 employees and its turnover for 2007 amounted to € 2 million. Thanks to the takeover, Grontmij has consolidated her position as a local service provider in her market sector Building in the eastern regions of the Netherlands, especially when it comes to providing specialist advice in the areas of building construction, architectural engineering and construction management.
Stoel Partners has been actively involved in numerous key projects that included the new Achmea offices in Zwolle and Leeuwarden, the skating rink in Enschede, the Pantein Hospital in Boxmeer, the Frisian Museum in Leeuwarden, the reconstruction of the Roombeek district in Enschede and the Public Prosecutor’s office in Lelystad, amongst others.
Grontmij and Stoel Partners have cooperated closely for a very long time. The new acquisition will be integrated in Grontmij Nederland B.V.’s operational management.
