8 May 2008 | Press release - Grontmij strengthens its position in the energy market 

Today Grontmij signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Teldako AB, an electrical consultancy and engineering firm with 25 professionals in Sweden.
 

Grontmij is thus strengthening its position as a consultant within electrical engineering, electric power and energy.

Teldako is established in northern Sweden, where Grontmij, along with Teldako, now will be the leading consultant within the electrical engineering segment in the Sundsvall-Östersund region. The acquisition forms part of the company’s strategy to be the best local service provider in North-West Europe. Northern Sweden is a strategically important market and the acquisition of Teldako further strengthens Grontmij’s position in this region.
 
Teldako is an expanding company within electrical engineering, telecommunications, automation and instrument engineering. In the year 2007 a turnover of approximately € 2,2 mln was achieved. Teldako will promptly contribute to the earnings per share. With offices in Sundsvall, Östersund and Alby, the company has established itself as the market leader in electricity in the region, although it also has assignments across Sweden. Grontmij is seeing increased demand for electrical engineering expertise, with the company having created strong activities in southern Sweden and Stockholm.
