Polish award for waste water treatment project
The project ‘Waste and wastewater treatment in Czestochowa, Poland’ received an award at the third edition of ‘the best ecological investments awards’. These awards were organized by the Polish Association of the EU Fund Beneficiaries.
Grontmij Nederland B.V. was awarded in the category “Contract Engineer”. This award (a crystal statuette) was given at a special gala in Torun. Grontmij once again has been recognized as one of the best Consulting Companies in Poland.
Engineering services for six contracts
The project in Czestochowa was carried out in the years 2004 – 2009 and is the first completed large project realized by Grontmij in Poland. For this project Grontmij provided engineering services for six contracts for works. The project included two waste water treatment plants, a water treatment plant and three sewage networks, an installation of sewage sludge drying and removal of nitrate from potable water through a biological method.
