After the intended appointment, the Executive Board of Grontmij will consist of Sylvo Thijsen (CEO), Jean-Luc Schnoebelen (COO), Frits Vervoort (CFO), Gert Dral and Annemieke Nijhof. Within the Executive Board Mr Jean-Luc Schnoebelen will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer of Grontmij.
The Supervisory Board will also nominate Mr J. (Jan) van der Zouw as new member of the Supervisory Board at the first upcoming General Meeting of Shareholders of Grontmij N.V. After the intended appointment, the Supervisory Board will consist of Mr J.H.J. Zegering-Hadders (Chairman), Mr R.J.A. van der Bruggen, Mr P.P. Montagner and Mr J. van der Zouw.
The Supervisory Board has further asked Mr T. (Tjalling) Tiemstra to support the Supervisory Board as advisor.

Zegering Hadders, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Grontmij N.V.: ‘Our Supervisory Board will be up to speed again with intended member Jan van der Zouw and Tjalling Tiemstra as advisor, two renowned business men, both with broad experience relevant for our company today. I am convinced Grontmij will very much benefit from this addition to its leadership.’

With Frits Vervoort we welcome a well respected CFO, with a rich and proven track record, especially during his years at Vedior. I am also very pleased Mr Schnoebelen will take on the role of COO. In this role he will strongly focus on the reinforcement of the economic efficiency of our operations. With this new composition of the five member Executive Board, we are well equipped to address the challenges of today’s market.’
New CFO
Mr Vervoort (1962) has over thirty years of experience as a financial expert. He started his career at Ernst & Young and after a period at Reed Elsevier, he joined Vendex International N.V. in 1994 as Head of the Business economics department, after which he took on the role of Finance Analyst at Vendex Food Groep B.V in 1995. Two years later he joined Vedior N.V. as Corporate Controller. In 2000 he became Finance Director and in 2001 he started as CFO at Vedior N.V. He was responsible for many acquisitions, US debt placement and new credit facilities. He has a Master’s degree in Economics and a post graduate Accountancy of the University of Amsterdam.
Mr Vervoort will be nominated for appointment for a period of four years. The remuneration will be in line with the current remuneration policy of the group.
New Supervisory Board member and advisor Mr Van der Zouw (1954) has a proven track record as CEO of Eriks Group N.V., which he successfully expanded internationally. Mid 2011 he left the company as a CEO, but he still is advisor to the Board. Mr Van der Zouw holds non-Executive roles at Van Wijnen Holding N.V., Den Helder Airport, HGG and Newdell Company. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr Tiemstra (1952) has a wealth of experience as former CFO of Hollandsche Beton Groep (HBG NV) and Hagemeyer NV, as well as 22 years in various financial and general management positions in Unilever NV/PLC. He currently holds non-executive and advisory roles at the Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM), Amnesty International, Vereniging Effecten Uitgevende Ondernemingen (VEUO), Bruynzeel Holding BV, Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO), MegaGroup BV and Reinier de Graaf Groep. Mr Tiemstra has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a RA title in Accounting at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
