The renovation of the A40 and RN205 are the object of a 5-year (2011 – 2015) renovation programme aimed at the road surface layers. Grontmij will be responsible for:
- Launch of consultation work (editing consultation files, technical analysis of offers, classification of offers and proposals for allocation of the work).
- Site preparation (organising meetings with the works management and the responsible companies, planning the various intervening activities, site organisation, records of meetings).
- Site monitoring (unannounced site visits, analysis of additional proposals during the course of the work, analysis of operating results and trials, technical and financial support for the works management, continuous monitoring of site activities, preparation and organisation of meetings, editing of reports).
- Exterior highway inspection (undertaken on site and laboratory testing, inspecting the workmanship and inspection of work undertaken).
- Elaboration of programmes for the period 2016-2020 (highway diagnostics, technical proposals for maintenance and repair work, work planning, cost estimates).
- Expert services (dealing with specific points, technical consultancy in respect of hydrocarbon materials).
