The study of Ginger CEBTP (business line Monitoring & Testing) is to support the ambitious plans of Nice to change the transport infrastructure, amongst others the construction of these two additional tram lines. The paths of these lines run through the city centre for about 2 km. Ginger CEBTP’s task is extensive. It involves surveys, field testing, laboratory testing and associated engineering. Also mechanical tests, geophysical logs, water tests and seismic measurements will be undertaken to assess the dynamic behaviour of the soil.
Jean-Luc Schnoebelen, Vice-Chairman Group Executive Committee Grontmij N.V. and CEO Ginger Group: ‘Our many years of experience in geotechnical engineering means we have acquired unrivaled expertise. We are delighted to participate in this ambitious project which promises to make Nice a model for transport infrastructure, contributing to the improvement of quality of life for its’ inhabitants. With this project, Grontmij demonstrates once again that we are leaders in geotechnical engineering in France.’
