The potential total value of the two lots over the four year framework period (until 2014) is £ 145 million (€ 165 million). Within the terms and conditions of the Project Support Framework of the Highways Agency the Grontmij share may be worth upwards of £ 2 - 3 million (€ 2.3 – 3.4 million) per year.
These two key appointments allow the joint venture team to work directly with the Highways Agency on major projects to improve the capability of the strategic road network in England over the next four years. The PSF consists of 4 Lots in total. On Lot 1 and 3, besides the joint venture Grontmij – Mott Mac Donald seven, respectively five, other companies / joint ventures are active.
John Chubb, Country Managing Director United Kingdom said: ‘Grontmij has been working on managed motorway schemes, both internationally and in the UK, for a number of years. Following our successful work on the M1 and M62 schemes we relish the challenge of providing further innovative solutions to the Highways Agency to help reduce the cost of improving the strategic road network, and deliver their current 20 percent and future business plan efficiency targets for major schemes.’
