Today Grontmij signed a framework contract with the Port of Rotterdam Authority (Havenbedrijf Rotterdam N.V.) to deliver technical services related to the port infrastructure.
 

From her offices in the Netherlands and Denmark Grontmij will for the next three years (with an option for an additional two times one year) take care of planning, design and contract management of quays, jetties, dredging works and embankments.

The Port of Rotterdam Authority is a global service provider with a mission to promote and facilitate economic activities in the Rotterdam harbour. In order to strengthen the port’s competitive position, Port of Rotterdam Authority invests on a yearly basis in optimizing her infrastructure assets. Port of Rotterdam Authority aims for a sustainable living and working environment.

Beside Grontmij, contracts were also awarded to Gemeentewerken Rotterdam, Royal Haskoning and Arcadis. The Port of Rotterdam Authority invests yearly Euro 7.5 to 15 million in this type of technical services.
