The cooperation agreement follows on a recently started project for which Grontmij has developed a vision for the sustainable development and planning of the area. Grontmij has been requested for consultancy services for the further planning, design and implementation of 28km2 new to build housing (approximately 30,000 houses) and recreation.
The agreement was signed by Gert Dral, Group Director Planning & Design on behalf of Grontmij N.V. and Mr. Zhao Jiaxin van Wuhan High Tech Holding Group Co. Ltd, in the presence of high authorities of the province of Hubei and the city of Wuhan and of the Dutch province of Gelderland and the Dutch city of Arnhem. Both the provinces and cities maintain close relationships with eachother.
