The framework will run for a period of two years, with an option for two additional one-year extensions. The expected engineering turnover for Grontmij within the framework agreement will be € 3.5 million in each contract year. This framework agreement underlines the growth strategy of Grontmij in Energy.
Grontmij will be providing multidisciplinary engineering services, consultancy and support in process technology, electrical engineering & instrumentation, mechanical engineering, construction and civil engineering areas, working from concept phase right through to construction and completion. As well as working to optimise the gas transportation process, Grontmij will also ensure the transportation of gas throughout the construction stage.
Grontmij was selected for its broad knowledge and experience of Gasunie's procedures and conditions. Grontmij and Gasunie have been working collaboratively to successfully deliver projects for over 40 years. According to Mr Lambers, Manager Engineering at Gasunie: ‘For us cooperation means a continuous improvement of skills on both sides. We recognise that Grontmij has a strong focus on continuous improvement which is very much in line with our ethos.’
