The challenge was to transform the industrial site and so create a new district with exemplar innovations for maximising the sustainability of the area, incorporating green urban features and building 11,000 new residences.

Our solutions halved the district's energy use and limited emissions to both water and the air. We incorporated beach-side promenades and recreational parks and new shared space for traffic and pedestrians.
