Grontmij is committed to the elimination of corruption and the maintenance of good governance in our working practices and supply chain. We are signatories to the Global Compact and prepare a yearly report to the Global Compact on our performance and the development of our procedures in support of the ten principles.

We have put management systems in place to capture and information concerning our performance in relation to our provision of services to our clients and our observance of  business integrity. We report against GRI indicator PR1, 2 & 9 to record our performance in this area.

Business integrity Compliance
Our performance in these areas is shown in the following list.

PR1 - Life cycle stages in which health and safety impacts of products and services are assessed for improvement, and percentage of significant products and services categories subject to such procedures.
Our services are assessed for health and safety impacts at all stages of our project cycles ie at:

• Business opportunity
• Tender
• Project design
• Project delivery and project close out

All of our projects are assessed for the health and safety considerations of their delivery. In Denmark Germany and UK this forms part of our OHSAS18001 compliance.

PR2 - Total number of incidents of non-compliance with regulations and voluntary codes concerning health and safety impacts of services 

In the period from January to December 2009 we recorded no infringements of any law, regulation or code of practice (voluntary or otherwise) relating to the health and safety impacts of our services.

PR9 - Monetary value of significant fines for non-compliance with laws and regulations concerning the use of services

In the period from January to December 2009 we were not subject to any fines for non-compliance with laws and regualtions concerning the use of our services.
