Assessment building envelope department store in Paris
Condition of steel façade and blockwork structure and facing mapped
Grontmij CEBTP's building consultants carried out the assessment of the building envelope for the famous department store La Samaritaine in and investigated the condition of this historical building.
Grontmij CEBTP carried out research on the state of the steel structures, the condition of paintwork and concrete. We also inspected the façade made of stonework, the canopy as well as the historical guard rails.
About La Samaritaine
La Samaritaine was built at the end of the 19th century in the Art Deco style and is now listed as a monument. The construction of the building is made of steel whereas the building itself is made of stone and decorated with enamelled lava stone cladding.
