The TT-Circuit Assen is continuingly developing and improving. For years Grontmij and Assen have been working together e.g. with the improvements infrastructure and extension of the circuit. In the coming years the circuit wants to become a National Event Terrain (NET) and Grontmij will help to realize this.  

Four major construction phases have already been completed between 1998 and 2006. Grontmij has been an advising partner in the environment, building, transportation and management services during these construction phases. The fifth phase has recently been completed. As a multidisciplinary engineering and consulting company Grontmij was part of delivering high quality solutions.

Quality and Safety
In phase five the TT-Circuit was further developed into a multifunctional event terrain making it even more suitable to organize major events as the Dutch TT and Superbike. Also this provides the opportunity to become a National Event Terrain (NET) which opens the door for other large scaled public events. In order to become a NET a lot of quality and safety requirements have to be met. It is a great challenge for the TT-Circuit and the Grontmij specialists to meet these requirements.

Grontmij’s work consist of writing all construction plans per phase, researching possibilities for subsidies, counseling the “Foundation Circuit of Drenthe” on tenders. As well as designing, measuring and engineering work for buildings, grandstand and infrastructure. On top of that we are also responsible for the management and supervision of the TT-Circuit. The TT-Circuit is a beautiful long-term multidisciplinary project where Grontmij implements and focuses on the wishes and demands of client and end user. This shows throughout all our work; planning, connecting, respecting, the future.
