Grontmij Industry to work on Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant
Bio Base Europe, the result of a partnership between Ghent Bio-Energy Valley (Belgium) and Bio park Terneuzen (the Netherlands) and their respective stakeholders, rewarded Grontmij Industry with the basic engineering of the Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant for bio based products and processes.
A one-stop-shop
The Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant is a flexible and diversified pilot plant based in Ghent, Belgium. It is capable of scaling up and optimising a broad variety of bio based processes up to the 10 m3 pilot scale. It is a one-stop-shop that can perform the entire value chain in a single plant, from the green resources up to the final product.
The Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant is operating according to an open innovation service model: companies and research institutes that are active in the bio based economy can rent these facilities for their technological development needs.
