Modernizing drinking water and wastewater treatment
Construction and extension of water treatment facilities
The City of Czestochowa (Poland) assigned Grontmij for the modernization of the waste water and drinking water treatment in the cities of Czestochowa and Rybna. Grontmij was responsible for the supervision and the technical assistance in various contracts: from the construction of a water treatment plant, to the extension of the capacitiy of rain water collecting facilities.
Grontmij Poland was engaged for:
- organization of works (contracts),
- verification of designing documentation,
- production of technical reports,
- financial reporting, financial controlling, issue of final payment certificate,
- supervision of tests on completions,
- cooperation with all stakeholders.
The contracts concerned are:
- Construction of Water Treatment Plant for biological nitrate removal at Wierzchowisko water intake of the capacity 500m3/h in accordance with FIDIC Yellow Book, under PRAG procedure,
- Extension of the sewer system in Czestochowa, - ca 69km of sewerage and 19 pumping stations - in accordance with FIDIC Red Book, under Polish Public Procurement Law,
- Extension of the sewer system in the Mykanow municipality, - ca 32km of sewerage and 9 pumping stations – in accordance with FIDIC Red Book, under Polish Public Procurement Law,
- Extension and modernization of WWTP in Czestochowa with N&P removal and improved sludge management system, including sludge thermal drying, of the capacity after modernization of 90 000 m3 per day (ca 314 000 p.e.) in accordance with FIDIC Red Book, under PRAG procedure,
- Extension of WWTP in Rybna – up to the capacity of 1 000 m3 per day – in accordance with FIDIC Yellow Book, under Polish Public Procurement Law,
- Construction of main rain water collectly sewer from the city centre of the Warta river – ca 1,0km – in accordance with FIDIC Red Book, under Polish Public Procurement Law
