Training program electrical distribution management

A training program aimed at developing countries 

For the third year in a row, Grontmij has been assigned by Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) to run a training program in electrical distribution management. The program is targeted to participants from a number of developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America and will take place in Stockholm and Malmö.

Grontmij’s role is to ensure knowledge transfer and to support in the implementation of projects aiming to secure a sustainable energy distribution.

Program objectives
  • To provide know-how in the field of electricity distribution, including rural electrification, covering financing, management and technical questions.

 

  • To create awareness of an integrated approach towards electricity distribution in relation to energy supply, country planning, environmental aspects and socio economic considerations.

 

  • Transfer of Swedish experience and Swedish technology to the developing countries.



  • Contribute to sustainable electricity distribution from a technical, environmental and economical point of view.

 

  • Contribute to a better availability of electricity in the developing countries
