SHARON, nitrogen removal over nitrite: robust and reliable
As one of the possible answers to the issue of clean drinking water Grontmij developed the technology SHARON. In this part of the website you can find a further explanation of this concept and examples of realised waste water treatment plants as well as documentation of SHARON in (technical) journals.



DEMON, sustainable and innovative  
Another sustainable answer to the issue of clean drinking water is DEMON: the DEamMONnifacation process based on the anammox-reaction. Significant savings are the result.

First weak link in range of Dutch dunes at full strength
The dikes and dunes on the Dutch North Sea coast are under pressure from the rising sea level. The country’s main line of defence against the rising water – the dunes – has to be reinforced in the very short term. Grontmij’s expertise was called in for one of those projects.

For the third year in a row, Grontmij has been assigned by Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) to run a training program in electrical distribution management.

New safety foil production line makes Solutia the world's biggest producer of safety foil for glass. The foil is processed into the glass making it much stronger.
